This year, I had the opportunity to host a webinar for the Ontario Teachers’ Federation on a topic that feels both urgent and empowering … how to make AI work for you as an educator.
My webinar, “Train Your AI Brain: Customizing AI for Planning and Productivity,” focused on moving beyond one-off prompts and into something much more intentional. Instead of treating AI like a novelty or a shortcut, we explored how tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini can be personalized to reflect your teaching style, workflow, and curriculum expectations.
During the webinar, we unpacked what it really means to “train” your AI. Not in a technical coding sense, but in a practical, educator-friendly way. We looked at how to build consistent prompting routines, create reusable planning frameworks, align responses with Ontario curriculum expectations, and shape AI into a responsive thought partner that supports lesson design, feedback, communication, and organization.
Most importantly, we talked about productivity with purpose! AI isn’t about doing less thinking. It’s about freeing up time so we can focus on the parts of teaching that matter most: relationships, creativity, and responsive instruction.
You can access the presentation slides below to explore the strategies, sample prompts, and frameworks shared during the session.
If you missed this session, not to worry, it’s being recorded and posted. I will share it with you ASAP! If you’re interested in learning more about how you can use AI in the classroom with students, check out and enroll in my next webinar with OTF, “Empowering Student Voice Through the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and AI” on Thursday, March 5th, 2026!
